2.2 Initiate a Transfer to Futu via a Hong Kong Bank Counter/ATM

Initiate a transfer to any Futu receiving account through a Hong Kong bank counter or ATM.

Once the transfer succeeds, keep the transfer receipt to notify Futu of the deposit. To send a initiate notification, you must provide the transfer receipt and proof of bank account:

  1. Transfer receipt: This must show the full remitting account number and receiving account number. If a paper receipt from the bank does not show the full details, log in to online banking to find them and take a screenshot.

  2. Proof of bank account: This must show the full bank account name and bank account number. A bank card, bank statement, or account opening/account details document may serve as proof of bank account.

2.3 Initiate a Deposit Notification on the Futubull App

Depositing via a Hong Kong bank counter/ATM transfer requires you to notify Futu of the deposit within the Futu App.

After completing the transfer:

  1. In the Futubull App, select "Accounts - Transfers - Deposit - Select the currency - Select your bank account - Bank Counter/ATM Transfer".

  2. Tap "Notify Futu".

  3. Check the details, enter the deposit amount, and upload the transfer receipt and proof of bank account.

  4. Tap "Submit".

Note:

  1. To ensure a successful deposit, complete the bank transfer first and only then notify Futu to process it, selecting according to the actual currency, remitting bank and deposit method.

  2. After completing the transfer, if you do not notify Futu to check for the funds within 20 calendar days, the bank may return the funds.

  3. If you deposit several amounts, initiate a separate deposit notification for each. Do not combine multiple bank remittances into one deposit notification.

3. Estimated Arrival Time

3.1 Estimated Arrival Time for Intrabank Transfers

Time the Deposit Notification is Initiated

Estimated Arrival Time

Hong Kong stock trading day, 09:00–15:00

Within 2 hours of initiating the deposit notification

Other times

Before 11:00 on the next Hong Kong stock trading day

3.2 Estimated Arrival Time for Interbank Transfers

For local Hong Kong interbank remittances that are not express remittances, the bank's processing time is longer, and funds usually take 1–3 business days to be credited. The exact time is subject to the bank.

4. Bank Charges

Futu does not levy any charges on deposits. The actual fees shall be subject to the bank's charges.

4.1 Intrabank Transfer

Free of charge

4.2 Interbank Transfer

As this involves an interbank remittance, both the remitting bank and the receiving bank may levy the applicable charges; the actual amount is subject to banks charge. Futu Securities does not levy any charges.

Notes

  1. The bank account name used for the transfer must match the name on your Futu Securities account. Do not transfer from another person's bank account; otherwise, any resulting refund charges will be borne by the client.

  2. Consult your remitting bank and ensure that this information can be passed from the remitting bank to the receiving bank; otherwise, the remittance may be returned and may incur charges, which will be borne by the client.

  3. The screenshots in this guide are shared by users and are for reference only. If a screenshot differs from the actual interface, the actual interface prevails; confirm the details to be entered with your bank.

  4. If the content on this page is updated, Futu Securities (Hong Kong) will not notify you separately. Futu Securities (Hong Kong) shall not be liable for any loss of any kind arising from this guide or from any update to its content.

  5. To safeguard your funds and for other compliance reasons, Futu may reject deposits from certain special channels (including third-party payment service providers, overseas banks and money changers). Following a rejection, Futu will notify the client and return the funds by the original route or by another means. Note that certain special channels may deduct the refund charges from the remitted amount. Use a bank account that the current system can bind for your deposit.
