The eDDA Deposit is a fast transfer method introduced by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority. Once you complete the eDDA bank account authorisation, you can initiate a deposit in the Futubull App. The funds are directly debited from your bank account and credited to your Futu account.
Futu currently supports eDDA Deposit in HKD only.
Before using the eDDA Deposit, you must first authorise your bank account. You can deposit funds to Futu via eDDA only after the authorisation takes effect.
You can initiate the bank account authorisation either in the Futubull App or through mobile/online banking app:
The following banks support authorisation in the Futubull App:
HSBC, Bank of China (Hong Kong) (BOCHK), China Merchants Bank (Hong Kong) (CMBHK), Hang Seng Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Asia) (ICBC (Asia)), China Construction Bank (Asia), CMB Wing Lung Bank, China CITIC Bank International, Nanyang Commercial Bank, Fusion Bank, EleBank, ZA Bank, Chiyu Banking Corporation, Livi Bank, Dah Sing Bank
The following banks support authorisation through mobile/online banking:
Citibank, Bank of East Asia, OCBC Wing Hang Bank, Bank of Communications (Hong Kong)
If your bank supports authorisation in the Futubull App, follow this path:
Path: Futubull App - Account - Any account - Transfer - Bank account - Select bank account - Authorise eDDA - Authorise Now - Check details - Confirm
The authorisation is expected to take effect in real time.
Note: Queuing may occur when a large number of authorisations are being processed, or when you re-authorise after an authorisation error.
Citibank, Bank of East Asia, Bank of Communications (Hong Kong) and OCBC Wing Hang Bank do not yet support authorisation in the Futubull App. You can initiate authorisation through mobile/online banking as follows:
Step 1: Check the required authorisation details in Futu (see the table below).

After you initiate an eDDA deposit instruction, the funds are expected to be credited within 5 minutes.

To cancel an eDDA authorisation, please contact your debiting bank. Cancellation in the Futubull App is not yet supported.
1. The bank account used for the transfer must be in the same name as your Futu Securities account. You may not transfer from another person's bank account; otherwise, any refund charges incurred are borne by you.
