FAQS

Why invest in Futu bonds?

Futu support all trading bonds, simple operation, good experience. In addition, due to relying on strong IT capabilities, Futu bonds reduce a lot of labor costs, and the bond-related fees charged are more favorable than other platforms.

Why is there no immediate transaction after submitting the order?

Since bonds are over-the-counter transactions and rely on traders to place orders, the length and price of transactions are related to a variety of factors such as daily market liquidity and counterparty conditions. You can try to raise the order price/lower the order price, or wait patiently and then reverse the order when the right counterparty and market price appear.

Must bonds be held to maturity?

It can be held until maturity or sold in advance at any trading time.

What is the amount of the bond dividend? How to issue?

The amount of bond dividend is determined by the coupon rate, for example, the coupon rate is 10%, holding a face value of 10,000 yuan, then the interest for a year is 10000*10%=1000 yuan. The frequency of bond dividend is usually twice a year or once a year, the number of times means that the annual interest is distributed to investors several times, for example, if it is twice a year, then the dividend will be paid $500 each time.

How much will I receive when the bond matures?

The amount of the bond payable at maturity is equal to the face value of your position at the maturity date. It, along with the last coupon, will be credited to your securities account in two separate accounts.

Disclosures
Although the US government rarely defaults, the risk still exists. Political, financial, or other factors may make the government unable to pay its debts on time or in full amount.
Although this risk is low, it cannot be completely ruled out.
At the same time, if you are a non-US investor, you are exposed to foreign exchange risk by holding US Treasuries. Exchange rate fluctuations may affect your investment returns,
making them fluctuate when denominated in local currency.
Before making any investment, please carefully assess your risk tolerance and consult with an investment adviser or professional for more accurate and personalized investment advice.
