Futu launches exclusive after-hours U.S. stocks trading in surge of investors' demand, connecting global traders with enhanced trading experience
(Hong Kong – February 14, 2023) To satisfy the growing enthusiasm for the U.S. stocks market, Futu Securities International (Hong Kong) Limited (referred to as "Futu") officially announces the launch of Hong Kong's exclusive after-hours trading session for U.S. stocks, breaking through the time restrictions of U.S. stocks transactions to enable investors to seize real-time market opportunities at any time. According to the data from Futubull platform of last year, the total number of transactions during pre-market and after-hours periods equal 18% of total transactions during market hours, which refers to the official trading hours for U.S. stocks, and the total transaction amount was equal to 15% as compared to market hours. Throughout trading days in January, the number of single-page views (PV) of the most popular U.S. stocks on Futu's website during non-trading hours, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Hong Kong time, reached more than 1.46 million times, indicating an enormous demand for U.S. stocks trading during non-trading hours.
Futu launches user-friendly new functions to enhance trading flexibility to grasp investment opportunities
Futu's U.S. stocks night trading session allows investors to seize investment opportunities outside of the traditional U.S. stocks trading hours. The new session can avoid the investors' possibility of missing the best opportunities brought by the stock market news during the day, and enable investors to manage their investments in a more flexible manner and grasp investment opportunities around the clock. The operation of this new feature is straightforward and can be easily performed on Futubull platform by selecting “Night Trading” in the "Market" list under the "Trading" section. Futu will initially launch this feature for some selected U.S. stocks and gradually apply it to other U.S. stocks. The first batch of over 30 U.S. stocks to launch this new feature has been selected based on market liquidity and feedback from Futu's customers.
