Futu Securities Among First to Offer Cboe's Extended-Hours Trading for Select U.S. Single Stock and ETF Options

HONG KONG, October 20, 2026 -- Futu Holdings Limited (Nasdaq: FUTU) ("Futu"), a leading tech-driven digitalized brokerage and wealth management platform, announced today that its Hong Kong-based digital brokerage, Futu Securities, is among the first brokers to offer access to extended trading hours for options introduced by Cboe Global Markets (“Cboe”), a leading derivatives exchange operator. The service enables investors to trade options on select U.S. stocks and ETFs listed on Cboe Options Exchange (C1) during the extended sessions. Combined with Futu’s professional options analysis tools and diverse trading strategies, the extended trading hours give investors greater flexibility to respond to market developments, manage position risk and adjust their trading strategies¹.
Effective October 19, 2026, Cboe introduced extended trading sessions for options on 24 highly liquid US single stocks² and 5 flagship ETFs³, comprising active mega-cap tech leaders, core blue-chip enterprises, and benchmark index ETFs. Eligible options now feature a pre-market Global Trading Hours (GTH) session running from 7:30 a.m. to 9:25 a.m. ET, while single-stock options also offer Curb Trading Hours from 4:00 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. ET.
Futu Securities Expands Hedging Opportunities Beyond Regular Market Hours
Futu Securities was among the first brokers to offer access to Cboe’s extended options trading sessions from day one. The new sessions give Hong Kong eligible investors greater flexibility to adjust positions and manage overnight risk around key market events, including major economic releases such as U.S. nonfarm payrolls and CPI, as well as corporate earnings announced before or after regular U.S. market hours. By enabling trading in eligible options contracts beyond regular market hours, the initiative expands investors’ risk management opportunities and gives them greater flexibility in implementing their trading strategies.
Jeff Shi, Regional Director at Futu Securities, said:"Extended trading hours allow investors more time to react to breaking news and market volatility, giving them greater flexibility to manage positions. We are proud to be among the first brokerages to offer this capability, empowering investors to navigate diverse market scenarios. Beyond convenient market access, our goal is to make market access more convenient while equipping investors with the tools and information they need to make informed decisions. By collaborating with world-leading exchanges like Cboe and leveraging Futu's professional analytical tools, real-time market data, and diverse product offerings, we help investors make fully informed decisions and remain agile in changing market conditions."
"Global investors are increasingly seeking access to the U.S. markets and the ability to manage risk and act on opportunities when they see fit,” said Rob Hocking, Global Head of Derivatives at Cboe Global Markets. “By extending trading hours for single-stock and ETF options, Cboe is giving investors more flexibility, and we’re excited that Futu clients now have access to these additional trading sessions."

[1] Options contracts are derivative products. Trading in options is not suitable for many members of the public. You should carefully consider whether trading is appropriate for you in light of your experience, objectives, financial resources and other relevant circumstances. You should make decisions based on their individual risk tolerance and exercise caution when relying on insights provided by AI-powered features. The risk of loss in trading options is substantial. In some circumstances, you may sustain losses in excess of your initial margin funds. Placing contingent orders, such as "stop-loss" or "stop-limit" orders, will not necessarily avoid loss. Market conditions may make it impossible to execute such orders. You may be called upon at short notice to deposit additional margin funds. If the required funds are not provided within the prescribed time, your position may be liquidated. You will remain liable for any resulting deficit in your account. You should therefore study and understand options before you trade and carefully consider whether such trading is suitable in light of your own financial position and investment objectives. If you trade options, you should inform yourself of exercise and expiration procedures and your rights and obligations upon exercise or expiry.
