Organized by Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau (FSTB) and InvestHK, Hong Kong FinTech Week 2022 (HKFTW), the fintech industry's flagship event, commences today (31 October). Futu Holdings Limited ("Futu" or the "Company") (Nasdaq: FUTU), a leading technology company in providing investment and wealth management services, has strived to support and promote the development of Fintech in Hong Kong over the past decade.

In time for Futu celebrating its 10th anniversary, the Company joined and collaborated with the HKFTW this year. Mr. Arthur Chen, Chief Financial Officer of Futu is invited to give a speech addressing the role and impact of Futu in proliferating fintech development across the industry, themed "Digital Financial Ecosystem: Reshaping the future of the capital markets."

Facing the ever-changing capital markets, Mr. Chen shared in his speech, "We're aware that financial services have to cater to the demand of investors through connecting users, retail and institutional investors, listed companies, and media. Building a tech-empowered platform has been crucial in closing the asymmetry gaps in accessing market information and promoting financial participation among the broader population." As one of the industry leaders, Futu is the first local brokerage to offer online account-opening services in transforming the traditional approach, which often takes 2-3 working days to process. To empower the Company's adaptability to rapid product supply extension and enter different markets, Futu has constantly updated its proprietary modular infrastructure on the platform, enabling flexible, agile, and stable changes platform. In the first half of 2022, Futu completed 130 version iterations and updated the characteristics of products 5301 times.

This year, Futu firstly exhibits in the Fintech week event to showcase its innovative solutions for business development, corporate service and product extension. The booth has attracted many investors, founders from start-ups, global leaders, and various financial practitioners and has become one of the hottest booths in the venue. 

This year, Hong Kong FinTech Week 2022 is taking place in person and virtually from October 31 to November 4. It is estimated to attract more than 20,000 attendees and over 3 million views online from over 80 economies. The event is organized by the FSTB and InvestHK, and co-organized by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), the Insurance Authority (IA), and the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), gathering global leaders to explore the development of Fintech.
