U.S. stock market trading sessions

1. Regular trading hours

Regular trading hours for the US stock market, including the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and the Nasdaq Stock Market (Nasdaq), are from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET on weekdays (except stock market holidays). On early-closure days, typically right before or right after a market holiday, regular stock trading ends at 1 p.m. ET.

 

2. Pre-market and post-market trading

Futu supports pre-market  and post-market trading.

Pre-market trading hours are from 4 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. ET, and trading extends from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET.

If the trading day is a half-day, post-market trading extends from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. ET.

 

3. Overnight trading

Futu also supports overnight trading. Orders can be placed in Overnight Trading Session, and unfulfilled orders will be cancelled automatically at the end of overnight trading.

Overnight trading hours are from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. (T+1) ET.
