Explanation of P/L

1. Position Market Value

Stock/Warrant/CBBC: Position Market Value = Size × Current Price

Option: Position Market Value = Size × Contract Multiplier × Current Price

1.1 What is Current Price?

Except for US stocks, Current Price is the market price during the regular trading hours, and the closing price during non-regular trading hours.

The trading hours for US stocks consist of the pre-market hours, the regular trading hours, the post-market hours, and the overnight trading hours. Futu supports customizing Current Price for each trading period (To do so, please go to Settings > Trade > Position Display > US Stock MV and P/L Calculation).

If you use the pre-market, post-market, and overnight prices, Current Price will be the market price during each period; if you don’t use them, the closing price for the regular trading hours will be used by default. (Special Note: If you do not use the overnight price, but select the post-market price, then during the overnight trading hours, the closing price for the post-market hours will apply before 12:00 AM ET, and the closing price for the regular trading hours will be used after 12:00 AM ET.
