How can I do margin trading or short selling

1.  If you are a new user: please select a margin account when opening an account;

2.  If you already have an ordinary account and want to open a margin account: you can upgrade your ordinary account to a margin account; 

3.  If you already have a margin account:

a.  Margin trading: If you do not have sufficient funds when buying a stock, margin will be used by default;

b.    Short selling: If you do not have a long position in a stock, you short sell it by selling it.

Special requirements for short selling of Hong Kong stocks: A special application is required for short selling of Hong Kong stocks. The picture below shows where you can apply. For details, please refer to the "Short Selling" page.
