FAQ

Q: What are the trading hours for Korean stocks?

A: Regular trading is 09:00-15:30 KST (08:00-14:30 HKT). The pre-market auction is 08:30-09:00 KST, and the closing auction is 15:20-15:30 KST. After-hours trading is not supported.

Q: What's the minimum number of shares I can buy?

A: 1 share. There's no board lot requirement.

Q: Can I sell stocks the same day I buy them?

A: Yes. Korean stocks support T+0 selling.

Q: What currency do I need?

A: Korean Won (KRW). You'll need to convert your funds to KRW before trading.

Q: What's the daily price limit?

A: ±30% from the previous day's closing price for both KOSPI and KOSDAQ.

Q: When can I withdraw money after selling?

A: Funds are available for withdrawal on T+2 (two business days later). However, you can use the proceeds on the same day to buy other Korean stocks.

Q: What are the trading fees?

A:

  • Commission: 0.08% per trade (minimum 2,000 KRW, both buys and sells)
  • Platform fee: 3,000 KRW per trade (both buys and sells)
  • Transaction tax: 0.2% (sells only, applies to both KOSPI and KOSDAQ)

Q: What order types are supported?

A: We support limit orders, market orders, and six types of conditional orders: Stop Limit, Stop Market, Limit if Touched, Market if Touched, Trailing Stop Limit, and Trailing Stop Market. Market and conditional orders are only available during regular trading hours (09:00-15:20 KST).

Q: Why was my order price adjusted?

A: Korean stocks have minimum price increments (tick sizes) that vary by price range. The system automatically rounds your price to the nearest valid increment.

Q: Can I trade on weekends or holidays?

A: No. Trading is only available on Korean business days. As overnight orders aren't supported, please submit orders manually during pre-market hours (starting at 08:30 KST).

Q: What's the difference between KOSPI and KOSDAQ?

A: KOSPI is the main board with large blue-chip companies like Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix. KOSDAQ is the growth board with smaller tech and growth companies. Trading rules are the same for both, including the 0.2% transaction tax on sells.

Q: What account types can I use?

A: Only margin accounts. Cash accounts cannot trade Korean stocks.

Q: Can I modify both price and quantity at the same time?

A: No. You can only modify one at a time, and you can only decrease quantity. To increase quantity, cancel the order and place a new one.

Q: Which markets and products are supported?

A: Common stocks on KOSPI (main board) and KOSDAQ (growth board). ETFs, ETNs, ELWs, and other products are not supported.
