RFQ (Request for Quote)

1. What is RFQ?

RFQ (Request for Quote) allows you to submit a request for a customized structured product directly in the app. You can review and select from quotes provided by multiple issuers and choose the product you want to trade.

1.1 Who can use RFQ?

The RFQ feature is only available to professional investors. To create an RFQ, you must open a universal account with FUTU HK and get verified as a professional investor.

1.2 What products can I request quotes for?

Currently, RFQ only supports Fixed Coupon Notes (FCN).

1.3 What underlying assets are available?

RFQ is available for products linked to:

  • Hong Kong stocks and ETFs
  • US stocks and ETFs

1.4 When can I submit an RFQ?

You can submit RFQs during the following periods (Hong Kong Time):

  • For Hong Kong underlying assets (stocks or ETFs):
    Hong Kong trading days, 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM
  • For US underlying assets (stocks or ETFs):
    US trading days, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM

For products with multiple underlyings, submit before the earliest end time.

 

2. How to submit an RFQ

2.1 Set conditions

Set your conditions for the product and submit the request.

For more information on RFQ conditions, refer to Fixed Coupon Notes (FCN).

2.2 Wait for issuer responses

Wait for issuers to respond after your request is submitted.

Your request may have one of the following statuses:

  • In Progress: Waiting for issuers to provide quotes
  • Quoted: All valid quotes have been received
  • Failed: No valid quotes were received

2.3 List or create a product

Once quotes are received, we will list the product with the best quote. You may also choose a quote to create a product yourself.

2.4 Trade

After a product is listed, you will receive a notification. You can view details and trade from the product page.

 

3. How to trade RFQ products

You can select products from the My Products page to place an order. For details, see Trading Rules.

 

4. FAQs

4.1 Is there any fee for using the RFQ feature?

No, there are no additional fees for using the RFQ feature.

 

4.2 Why did my RFQ fail?

An RFQ may fail for the following reasons:

  • Network connection is unstable
  • Issuers are temporarily unable to provide quotes due to high market volatility
  • The conditions you set cannot be quoted at this time

Please try again after checking your network or adjusting your RFQ conditions. If the issue persists, contact customer service for assistance.

 

4.3 How long does it take to receive a quote after submitting an RFQ?

The response time depends on the issuers. Each issuer may return quotes at different times. You can check the latest status on the My RFQs page.

 

4.4 Can I modify a submitted RFQ?

No, submitted RFQs cannot be modified. If you need to make changes, please create a new RFQ and submit it.

 

4.5 Why are the RFQ results different each time?

Quote results may vary due to the time of request, market conditions, conditions set, and the issuers' responses. Each RFQ result is a real-time quote.

 

4.6 How long is an RFQ product valid?

You can view the purchase cutoff time on the product details page and must complete your purchase before the deadline.

 

4.7 Can other users trade my RFQ products?

No, your RFQ products are only available on your account. Other users can neither view nor trade them.

 

4.8 Can I cancel my order for an RFQ product?

Orders for RFQ products are submitted to issuers in real-time and cannot be cancelled.
