How do I trade cryptocurrencies
1. Open a crypto account
Please update the app to version 16.5.15018 or above. The desktop app now supports trading cryptocurrencies and viewing balances.
Users with a securities account can open a crypto account by following these steps:
1) Search for a cryptocurrency (e.g., "BTC") in the search bar. On the quotes page, click the "Trade" button at the bottom.
2) Go to the trading permission activation page and select "Crypto". You will need to pass the Risk Profiling Questionnaire, Virtual Asset Exposure Limit Evaluation, Virtual Asset Knowledge Test, and read the relevant risk disclosure statement before opening a crypto account.
2. Cash transfer
Your crypto account requires sufficient fiat to trade. Currently, you can transfer fiat between your securities account and crypto account by cash transfer.
How to transfer funds:
On the mobile app:
- Go to Accounts > Cash Transfer. Select USD/HKD, and choose your crypto account to transfer funds in or out.
On the desktop app:
- Go to Accounts > Crypto > Cash Transfer. Select USD/HKD, and choose your crypto account to transfer funds in or out.
3. Place an order
You can enter the trade page to place an order on the App.
Click on the search button on the top right corner > enter the trading pair (such as BTCUSD) > click to enter the market page of the trading pair > click on the trading button on the bottom left corner.
